Staying connected your way with social support
Social support looks different for everyone. We’ll take the time to understand what matters to you and build it into your care plan. Depending on your needs, we can provide:
Companionship at home: friendly visits, conversation, and shared activities
Transport and outings: shopping trips, medical appointments, or coffee with friends
Community access: attending social clubs, exercise groups, or local events
Support for hobbies and interests: gardening, cooking, art or gentle exercise
Help building confidence: getting back out into the community after illness or isolation
Our goal is simple: to help you keep living life on your terms, connected to the people and places you love.

Frequently asked questions
What is social support?
Social support is a home care service designed to help you stay connected with your community, friends and family through companionship, outings and activities.
Can I use my Support at Home funding for social support?
Yes. Social support falls under the lifestyle support category of the Support at Home program. It does require a co-payment depending on your means testing.
Can my carer take me to appointments or shops?
Absolutely. We can provide transport for medical visits, shopping trips, or simply getting out for a coffee.
Can I choose who visits me?
Yes. We match you with a regular carer, and if you’d prefer a specific person or personality fit, just let us know.
What if I only want someone to visit occasionally?
That’s fine. You can have social support as often or as little as you like. It’s completely flexible.
Do you work with local community organisations?
Yes. We often partner with local clubs, community centres and allied health providers to help clients stay active and engaged.
