Domestic assistance helps with everyday household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal prep and errands, so you can stay comfortable and independent at home.
Can I choose which tasks you help with?
Yes. Your plan is fully flexible – you decide what you’d like help with and how often. We can use the cleaning products you prefer, and we ensure all carers know where everything is in your home.
Is domestic assistance covered under Support at Home funding?
Yes. It’s included in the everyday support category. It is partially funded in your Support at Home plan, but does attract a means tested co-payment.
Can you help with heavy cleaning or maintenance?
We focus on general household cleaning and upkeep. If you need deep cleaning, repairs or maintenance, we can coordinate trusted local services.
Do I get the same carer each time?
We always try to provide consistency. Familiar carers make your home feel more comfortable and your routine easier. If we need to change your care team, we’ll communicate that and work with you to ensure you’re comfortable.
Can I adjust how often I receive domestic assistance?
Absolutely. You can increase or reduce visits at any time, just speak to your care coordinator.
Do you bring cleaning equipment?
Generally, we use your preferred products to avoid allergies or sensitivities, but we can discuss other arrangements if needed.
Can I combine domestic assistance with other supports?
Yes. Many clients include domestic help alongside personal care, social support or nursing visits.
