Hello, my name is Raeleen, and I am the Care Services Manager for Envigor Brisbane North.
I have worked in the Aged Care & Disability sector for the past 20 years.
In this time, I have worked in numerous roles, from Carer, Diversional Therapist, Dementia Trainer, Carer Support Officer, Case Manager and Trainer and Educator. These roles have given me insight into what our clients are looking for from their provider.
What I enjoy about this role and working for Envigor, is I am given the opportunity to work alongside my clients to assist them to remain in their homes and provide them with the support they require.
I love to hear my clients stories, have a laugh, and ensure that each clients needs are treated individually,. Like Envigor, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach.
The current Aging population have the most amazing stories and so much to teach us. My favourite part of this industry is listening and learning from my clients. They have experienced so much and can teach us all a lot about being grateful and what hard work really is.
I love this industry and will remain in it until I retire.

Raeleen, Envigor Home Care Moreton Region’s Care Service Manager helped an Envigor Client:
“Carer Stress and guilt are a big issue. So, when working with a husband and wife recently, the wife felt it was her job to look after her husband and he was resistive to anyone but his wife caring for him.
This carer had no supports and was doing it all alone. Her husband had increased care needs since returning from hospital and his dementia has declined significantly.
By building a relationship and trust with this family they have allowed us into their home 7 days a week, the carer is so grateful, and the client has learnt to trust people other then his wife to support him.
It is a win win for all involved.”
